A staggering £531,000 was raised at tonight’s Wild Dolphin Auction.
The 50 life-sized fibreglass structures have been displayed throughout the city over the summer months, and have delighted thousands of people.
Tonight’s auction was sold out, and an enthusiastic crowd dug deep to support Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) and The ARCHIE Foundation.
The single biggest seller of the night was Golfin Dolphin, a sculpture signed by golfers at this year’s Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open. A top price of £55,000 was bid for the dolphin.
