VIDEO: Hilarious moment Aberdeen police join in Halloween fun

A Halloween video of spooky bowling pins haunting the police in Aberdeen city centre has gone viral through Facebook.

The group of lads in their red and white costumes can be seen approaching a police car in Belmont Street making ghostly noises.

And the police officers in the incident in good spirit, slowly driving into the carefully arranged pins causing all 11 to fall down and winning them a “strike”.

The video, taken by Steven Scouller from Portlethen, has been viewed more than 52,000 times.

The 26-year-old said: “It was all taken in good spirit. Most of the bars were happy with us going in and wanted us to get involved.

“I was delighted the police realised we were having a laugh and not causing any trouble and went along with it.

“Having a packed Belmont Street applauding us was slightly surreal. And now we just need to work out how to better it next year!”

The other pins were Lee Stewart, 26, from Portlethen, Callum Wallace, 24, Sam Tulloch, 24, Bobby Ledingham, 24, Bobby Caldwell, 24, Stephen Gaunt, 24, Douglas Ballantyne, 24, all from Aberdeen. And Ewan Aitchison, 25 and Allan Silver, 24, both from Motherwell.

A police spokesman said he had not seen the video so was unable to comment on it.
