
Winds of up to 80mph are predicted to hit the north-east and Moray today, battering areas until tomorrow morning.
A Met Office yellow “be aware” warning for wind was put in place this morning and will remain until 4pm.
Another severe weather warning for wind will be in place from 5pm until 3am tomorrow.
Gusts of between 60-70mph are expected across the north-east and Moray, with coastal areas expecting to be hit with winds of up to 80mph.
The Met Office has also warned of a “deep, complex area of low pressure” moving across northern Scotland tomorrow morning.
They also warned of possible power cuts across the region due to the weather.
A yellow warning for ice was also enforced until 10am in the north-east this morning.
Snow is also expected today in western Aberdeenshire.
