One of the north-east’s busiest roads was closed earlier this afternoon after an electricity power line attached to a pylon came down.
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) carried out the works above the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road, near Foveran, at 3pm today.
The road was closed by police in both directions while the emergency repairs were carried out.
A police spokeswoman said: “Engineers were working at the site. It happened at about 2pm. It was closed between the Toll of Birness and Blackdog.”
UPDATE: #A90 at Foveran *OPEN* – #SSE emergency repair works to overhead powerline complete.
