Police have reissued an appeal for information after thieves made off with more than £10,000 from two cash machines at Morrisons supermarket in Banchory on Wednesday.
Officers are also appealing for information about the theft of a bright blue Subaru Impreza that was stolen from a garage in the Inverurie area of Aberdeenshire which they believe may be linked to the Morrisons incident.
The car was stolen on the morning of Monday, January 19.
They have issued a further appeal for information following the theft of an ATM from RS McCalls in Byron Square, Aberdeen between 9.30pm on Saturday, January 17 and 6.40am on Sunday, January 18 and have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to.
Detective Inspector Stewart Mackie, who is leading the investigation, said: “Whilst these two incidents are similar, we are keeping an open mind about who may be responsible and if they are linked at this stage.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the blue Subaru Impreza in the Kintore or Deeside areas and who may have information that could assist our investigations into these incidents.”
