A charity sports day was held in Aberdeen’s Duthie Park yesterday.
More than 20 organisations signed up for the fun day, with events including the sack race, spacehopper challenge and an egg and spoon race.
All proceeds from the sponsored races will go to Cornerstone, a charity that provides services for people with disabilities.
The fun was organised by three students from the city’s Robert Gordon University as part of a project for their events management course.
Ana-Maria Bogdan, Isla Elliott and Julia Nicol decided to raise the cash for Cornerstone after discovering it was £8,000 short for a minibus that would be used to help service users.
Participants were urged to raise more than £200 before taking up the sporting challenges on the day.
For those who were not inclined to relive school days on the playing fiel, there were more than 30 stalls offering an array of gifts as well as stalls selling sweet treats. There were also pony and carriage rides provided by the Hayfield Riding Centre.
