A woman has admitted fraudulently claiming thousands of pounds in benefits when she had more than £80,000 in the bank.
Kimberly Greig lied to the Department of Work and Pensions, telling them the only capital she had was £20.
However the 32-year-old had £82,898.76 worth of savings.
Yesterday Greig admitted two counts of benefit fraud when her case called at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Between September 1, 2011 and August 8, 2013, Greig, of 11 Hallfield Road, Aberdeen, claimed a total of £6,965.82 in income support she was not entitled to.
She also received £2,763 in council tax and housing benefits from Aberdeen City Council when she knew she was not eligible.
In total she received £9,728.82 worth of benefits fraudulently.
Sheriff Edward Savage deferred sentence on Greig for background reports to be carried out.
She will return to court next month.
