An overturned caravan is causing congestion on a major north-east road.
The accident, which did not involve any other vehicles, took place southbound on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road, near Laurencekirk.
A car trailing a caravan is understood to have jack-knifed.
An ambulance service spokesman confirmed two people were being treated for injuries at the scene.
Their condition is not known at this stage.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the southbound carriageway is closed, which is causing tailbacks.
Local diversions are in place.
