Police have confirmed that one lane of the A90 northbound has been affected.
The spill, which took place at around 2.30pm, extends from Blackdog to just north of Ellon.
Measurements are currently in place to clean up the mess and make the road safe again.
The road is not closed at the moment, but motorists have been advised by police to drive carefully and safely along the road to prevent any accidents.
