A man who was found injured in an Aberdeen street has died.

The man was found injured on the city’s Shapinsay Court yesterday and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but has now died.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man prior to him becoming injured to come forward with information.

Detective Inspector Douglas Steele said: “The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish how he came by his injuries.

“From police enquiries we have established that the man left the Three Lums pub on Lewis Road at around 11.10pm on Monday night. He then walked off in the general direction of the Lang Stracht and Shapinsay Court area.

“It is believed a member of the public saw him at around 11.45pm at the rear of Shapinsay Court.

“We are appealing for anyone with information that could help us piece together his movements to come forward and assist us with our investigation.

“He is described as being approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall and has receding grey hair. He was wearing a black style puffa jacket, a black t-shirt and blue hooded top, black trainers and black jeans.”
