A schoolboy has appeared in court charged with murdering a Cults Academy pupil.
The 16-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, made no plea when he appeared in front of Sheriff Alison Stirling this afternoon.
He is accused of striking Bailey Gwynne on the body with a knife and killing him on Tuesday.
The boy was remanded in custody and his case was continued for further examination.
He will appear in court again in a week.
