Discussions are taking place to decide wither a new steakhouse will open at the site of a former Aberdeen department store.
Miller & Carter Steakhouse, is engaged in talks concerning a takeover of the former Esslemont and Macintosh building on Union Street.
The chain already has 36 locations throughout Scotland and England.
Plans to turn the long empty but iconic city centre building into a 98-bedroom hotel were pulled five months ago.
Two months later, a plan was lodged for a restaurant at the site but the potential occupier remained unknown until today.
