With the festive season approaching, Forest Enterprise Scotland is gearing up for the start of its annual Christmas tree sales event.

Visited by 20,000 people and with 6,500 sales every year, the Tyrebagger centre will have a variety of trees available, including Nordmann Fir, Norway Spruce and Lodgepole Pine.

Prices start from £17, and standard trees are between 4ft and 12ft with larger items of up to 40ft available to pre-order with the local team.

Staff will be on hand to help customers choose the right tree, load it into their car and offer advice on how to look after it.

The centre will also be selling tree accessories such as stands, pine cones, foliage, firewood and a range of Christmas decorations including baubles and wreaths.

Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Rooftop Garden appeal will also be raffling a car on site.

Recreation and Communities forester, Dan Cadle said: “It’s always a really busy time of year and the team who keep the centre ticking over love working here.

“Come along for a wander in the woods, smell the crisp, freshness of the forest and relax.

“As well as getting a taster of the holiday mood, you can enjoy a hot drink and snack and take your time to choose exactly the right tree.”

The centre will be selling trees from Monday, November 30 until Wednesday, December 23 between 9am and 5pm.
