Car thieves have struck in the Countesswells area of Aberdeen twice in a week.
A grey Audi Q3 was stolen from Countesswells Avenue between midnight and 6am last Thursday.
And on Monday, a black car of the same model was also taken from the street.
Chief Inspector Graeme Mackie last night urged car owners to be vigilant, while assuring them extra patrols would be carried out.
He said: “We will be carrying out additional patrols in the area but we are again reminding people to be vigilant with their home security.
“We ask that people don’t make themselves a target to opportunistic thieves and ensure that valuables and keys are left out of sight and that doors to homes and vehicles are always locked.
“If you have a garage use it and if not park in well-lit areas.
“We would also urge anyone who has seen anything suspicious or has any knowledge to contact us.”
Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call 101.
