A notorious north-east joyrider has appeared in court again after he smashed a stolen car into two parked vehicles.
Jed Duncan tried to overtake in the white Mazda as he sped around the streets of Aberdeen.
But the banned driver, who was also uninsured, lost control of the vehicle and ploughed into the cars parked on Auchmill Road.
The 20-year-old, who was sentenced to two years behind bars last year for similar offences, then left the scene of the accident without giving his details.
When he was questioned by police about the incident five days later he refused to reveal he was the driver.
Yesterday Duncan appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to be sentenced for his latest string of offences, having previously admitted the six charges against him.
However, he will have to wait another week to learn his fate after the court heard background reports were not ready.
Duncan, of 75 Willow Park Crescent, Aberdeen, admitted driving the Mazda “without due care and attention” at excessive speeds before hitting a kerb and crashing into cars parked nearby.
He also admitted driving whilst disqualified, without insurance and failing to give officers the name of the driver. He also admitted failing to stop after the accident on January 6 to give his name and address.
Duncan denied stealing the vehicle but admitted an alternative charge of reset.
