The woman found dead in a flat in a Glasgow suburb has been identified as an Aberdeen University graduate.
The body of Xin Xin Liu was discovered in her Newton Mearns home on Tuesday night after police were called to a disturbance.
Xin Xin is believed to have graduated with a post graduate degree from the University of Aberdeen after studying law and journalism in China.
The 39-year-old was described by neighbours as a “really lovely lady”.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
Police officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and forensic teams remain at the house, which has been cordoned off.
