A teenager is due to appear in court in connection with bike thefts in Aberdeen.
The bikes, which police say are worth more than £1,000, were taken from a property in the city’s Portree Avenue in the early hours of yesterday.
Following a tip-off from a member of the public, officers arrested and charged an 18-year-old woman, who is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court later today.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for information after a spate of bike thefts across the city.
Three bikes, worth a “four-figure” sum were taken from a garage on Gray Street, between 11am last Tuesday and 9.45pm on Wednesday.
The mountain bikes are described as being a black and blue Kuna; a black and red Scapin; and a black and green Scapin.
In a separate incident, someone also tried to break into a garage in the Forest Avenue Lane area of the city, between 11am last Wednesday and 9.45pm the following day.
In addition, a blue Suzuki Scrambler motorcycle was stolen from a garage on Stanley Street, between 10pm last Wednesday and 7am on Thursday.
