
An investigation has been launched after a police car crashed into traffic lights en route to an emergency in the early hours of this morning.
The police dog handling unit was heading to a call of a housebreaking in the city centre when the crash happened on Great Northern Road at around 5am.
The traffic lights on Great Northern Road at the junction with Don Street have been left badly damaged as a results of the crash.
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was blocked for more than an hour.
