Tinie Tempah has apologised to disappointed north-east fans after pulling out of an Aberdeen music festival at the last minute.

Tempah was expected to close out the Enjoy Music festival, which attracted more than 3,700 music fans to the city’s Hazelhead Park.

But festival-goers were left disappointed when an announcement was played on the main stage saying Tempah had been forced to cancel his appearance.

The MOBO-award winning artist, who is best known for hits Written in the Stars and Pass Out, also took to Twitter to apologise for his absence.

However, some fans were left confused after the star’s Snapchat appeared to show him attending a wedding during the festival.

It is the second time north-east fans have been left disappointed after the singer was forced to cancel a performance at the AECC in 2013.

Enjoy Music organiser Russell Aitchison said: “It was really unfortunate as the circumstances were out of our control.

“As soon as our marketing team found out there was no potential of getting Tinie up to Aberdeen they announced it straight away on Facebook, Twitter and on the main stage because we wanted to let people know what was happening which was extremely important.”
