The coastguard was called out earlier this morning to help transfer a casualty in Banff to a nearby hospital.
The Ambulance Service requested assistance at around 6.50am and the helicopter was sent to the scene from Inverness.
One person was then transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but there is no indication of injuries at this stage.
A coastguard spokesman said: “We assisted the ambulance with a helicopter from Inverness and transported a casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
