A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in a north-east town.
The incident occurred on the A957 at its junction with Braehead Crescent, Stonehaven, at 3.05pm.
The road is blocked in both directions.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the woman’s injuries are “serious” and she has been taken to hospital.
A Scottish Ambulance Services spokesman said the woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a stable condition with head injuries.
