Emergency crews have been called to rescue an AWPR worker after he became trapped.

Fire and ambulance teams attended the site at Milltimber Brae after being called out shortly after 11am this morning.

Paramedics are understood to have treated the man at the scene before he was later taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Local reports suggest the worker has sustained “serious injuries” but that they are not believed to be life threatening.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 10.50am today to attend an incident near Milltimber Brae.

“We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations response team to the scene.

“A male patient in his fifties was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”

Scottish Water says a full investigation is underway, and that their main concern is the man’s wellbeing.
