More than 1,000 homes in an Aberdeenshire town lost power this morning.
Engineers from SSE were called to Ellon at around 7.15am after the properties suddenly lost electricity.
A spokesman for the service said the outage was due to a fault in the overhead network.
By around 8.15am, most of the 1,000 properties had electricity once again, and engineers are currently working to restore power to the final three properties impacted by the incident.
