Councils across the north-east are not planning to postpone any school trips to London during the next few weeks.
Pupils at Portlethen Academy had been scheduled to visit Manchester last week as part of an end-of-year trip, but the idea was scrapped after discussions with the local authority.
Neil Morrison, head teacher at the school, took the decision to cancel the trip.
But last night, a spokesman for Aberdeenshire Council said: “We will be looking at the risks and any advice released from the Home Office with regards to any school trips that may be planned for London.”
Elsewhere, a spokesman for Moray Council said there had been a school trip to London less than two weeks ago and was not aware of any more being planned.
She added: “We have not been advised to change any plans as yet. We will await advice from the Home Office.”
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “I am not aware of any planned school trips [to London] at this time.”
