Motorists on a busy north-east road have been faced with traffic chaos this evening after a car went into a ditch.
The female driver of a blue Seat Ibiza was left shaken but unhurt after the vehicle left the road on the A944 Aberdeen to Strathdon road halfway between Dunecht and Westhill at around 4.45pm.
The road is still closed in both directions. A recovery truck has arrived on the scene and it is expected the road will reopen soon.
A police spokesman said: “We received a call to a car off the road at around 4.50pm. Recovery are on the scene.”
