The Met Office has warned that some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are possible as it issued a yellow weather warning for the region.
Wintry showers and freezing temperatures are expected with icy patches forming overnight on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Some of these showers will fall as snow, more so inland where small accumulations are possible in a few places.
The warning is in place from 5pm tonight until 10am tomorrow morning and cover Grampian, Highlands and islands.
