More than 1,000 homes were hit by a power cut in Alford earlier today.
The outage, which first occurred at 11:41am, has affected 1,218 properties in the area.
SSE engineers were expected to arrive on the site at 12.30pm to investigate the cause of the fault and it is estimated that power will be restored by 2.30pm.
A spokesperson from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said: “We would like to apologise to our customers in the Alford area for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience as our engineers work to restore their power as quickly and as safely as possible.
