A woman has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a sheltered housing complex.
Four fire engines were sent to a flat in Airlie Gardens, Banff, at around 4.20am.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, which were under control by 4.55am.
The fire service confirmed that everyone had been accounted for, and one person was left in the care of ambulance crews to be treated for smoke inhalation.
