A 31-year-old male pedestrian has been seriously injured after an incident on a north-east road.
The collision involved a blue Toyota Hilux and happened at 5.30pm on the A920 Huntly to Dufftown road at the junction to Haugh of Glass.
The pedestrian was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured, police said.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the collision.
Road Policing Inspector Steve Manson said, “Investigations into the incident are ongoing, however, I would ask for anyone who was in the area at the time who hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us on 101 quoting incident 2962 of 22 August 2019.”
The A920 is currently closed between Dufftown and Huntly.
Police are still on the scene and drivers have been asked to avoid the area.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to the incident at 5.30pm.
“The road is currently closed due to a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
“The pedestrian has serious injuries.”
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours.
The A920 is currently closed between Dufftown and Huntly due to a road traffic collision. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

Last month Moray Council announced that the A920 Dufftown to Huntly road would close for three weeks from August 19 for roadworks.
Traffic is currently diverted to the A95 Keith to Craigellachie road.
