Staff at an Aberdeen-based oil and gas operator are to put in the miles for a cancer charity later this week.
More than 10 Serica employees will be among hundreds taking part in a 15-mile walk at Crathes Castle in aid of Clan Cancer Support on Sunday.
The independent oil and gas company has partnered with the charity to become the headline sponsor of the event.
Head of income generation for Clan Fiona Fernie said: “We are delighted to welcome Serica Energy as our headline sponsor.
“The walk is very popular and we have over 200 people walking this year.
“However, sponsorship from Serica will ensure we can continue to provide events of the same quality as this and still make an important financial contribution to Clan.
“We are seeing demand for our services grow as more and more people are diagnosed with cancer. However, increasing numbers of people are surviving and living with cancer, so the support Clan provides across our many centres in the north-east is more and more important.”
The independent cancer support charity provides comfort, support and information, free of charge, for anyone in the north-east, of any age, affected by any type of cancer.
