Emergency crews were called to a tw0-vehicle crash on the Aberdeen to Dundee road this afternoon.
Police and fire services were alerted to the collision, two miles south of Stonehaven, just after 2pm.
A fire spokesman said crews were needed to ensure the vehicle was safe, using small tools to do so.
A police spokeswoman said the collision involved a car and a lorry.
She added: “It appears to be due to the rain and standing water.
“Fire service arrived to help them get out of the car.”
There are no apparent injuries.
