A north-east play park has been officially opened by Aberdeenshire’s provost.
Bill Howatson visited Aden Country Park, near Mintlaw, to officially declare the colourful £300,000 play zone open.
Youngsters have already been enjoying the zip-slide, seesaw, climbing frame, sand pit, farmer’s den and a biodiversity-themed pond.
Most of the installed play equipment is accessible for all, including the roundabout that ensures children of all abilities can play together.
The project is part of a wider restoration and redevelopment project of Aden Country Park, with £2.13million of support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).
Mr Howatson added: “Playgrounds provide a safe environment which encourages people to become healthier and more active. I hope these great facilities do this and are enjoyed for years to come.”
