Three children have embraced the spirit of the Commonwealth Games by taking part in their very own version.
Four-year-old twins Ollie and Caleb and sister Phoebe, two, have spent the last four days competing with each other in the 17 sports at their home in Portlethen
Their father, Dave Brown said: “It started on Friday while my wife Aly was out and I was looking for something to do with the kids.
“I put out the paddling pool in the garden and we tried a few of the Games ourselves, and everything just snowballed.”
The stay-at-home-dad made a list of the sports played at the Games so the youngsters could take part, while he filmed the action and uploaded it to social media.
Mr Brown added: “I post videos of the kids every so often so my family in Northern Ireland and Edinburgh can see what they’re up to.
“But I didn’t anticipate the big reaction that these clips would get.”
In the videos, the junior athletes can be seen dabbling in Judo and weightlifting, both of which they particularly enjoy.
Speaking of how the winners of the make-shift games will be honoured, Mr Brown said: I was originally going to give them a medal each but as it has become so big we’re having a ceremony in our garden this Sunday.
“Our friends and family will stop by so we’ll have a BBQ and if we could get a piper along, that would make it really special.”
