Storm force winds have forced the closure of one of the Highland’s busiest ski resorts – just a day after it opened for the winter.
CairnGorm Mountain Ltd has cancelled snowsports today because of poor weather conditions.
The company said that winds were gusting at more than 90mph at the entrance to the mountain railway tunnel.
Sleet showers are also sweeping the area.
Elsewhere, The Lecht has opened for the day.
However bosses there have warned that strong winds will limit the number of runs they can open.
Glenshee, which also opened yesterday, is assessing their conditions.
