Animal lovers can witness the thrilling deer rutting season first hand next week.
The Roar of the Reds event near Braemar will give nature lovers the opportunity to see the male red deer battle it out for mating rights.
The event, run by Aberdeenshire Council’s ranger service, will include a two mile walk along country tracks.
Under-16s must be accompanied and everyone attending must bring warm and waterproof clothing, appropriate footwear and, if possible, a torch.
Booking is essential and no dogs are allowed.
The group will meet at Auchallater car park, off the A93 Aberdeen to Braemar road, two miles south of Braemar.
