Commuters are facing major disruption in the north-east tonight after a lorry and digger became lodged under a railway bridge.
Network Rail has confirmed the lorry was transporting the vehicle when the incident happened about 4.10pm.
The crash took place on the B993 Port Elphinstone-Keith Hall road.
UPDATE: The rail line has now been cleared and trains are running normally again
Engineers are on site assessing the damage to the bridge, and are also working to free the lorry.
The road is currently blocked as a result.
Meanwhile, Scotrail has said services between Dyce and Inverurie are either delayed or cancelled for at least two hours.
A spokeswoman for the organisation said: “We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by circumstances outwith our control, and thank them for their patience.”
