Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the main road south of Aberdeen following two accidents.
A two-vehicle collision has partially closed the southbound carriageway of the A90 Aberdeen to Stonehaven road, close to the Newtonhill flyover.
It happened at 4.30pm.
No one was injured in the crash but it is causing major delays for rush hour commuters.
Earlier a motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash a short distance along the same stretch of road.
It happened at the Muchalls bend at 3pm.
Police and ambulance crews attended and paramedics took the patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
His injuries are believed to be serious.
No other vehicle is thought to have been involved in the crash.
A police spokeswoman said motorists were experiencing delays as only one lane of the route was passable southbound.
