A woman is behind bars after a gun was discovered under a mattress in her home. Antonia Higson was held last November following the raid at the flat in North Anderson Drive, Aberdeen. Police swooped after information that a weapon was being kept there. Officers found the Colt six-shot revolver as well as ammunition. Higson – who also uses the name Neil – later claimed she was aware of the gun and asked someone to remove it, but they had not. The 46 year-old today admitted at the High Court in Glasgow to possessing the firearm and the bullets. Judge Lord Boyd remanded her in custody and deferred sentencing until April 24 in Edinburgh.
