Anthony McGladrigan was found seriously injured in a property just outside Cuminestown on Wednesday. Paramedics took him to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but the 51-year-old could not be saved. Yesterday, 20-year-old Liam Hay appeared in private at Peterhead Sheriff Court charged with murder. Hay, of Aberdeen, is also accused of carrying an offensive weapon and acting in a threatening or abusive manner. He made no plea during the brief hearing and was remanded in custody.
