A hearing into the case of an Inverness street seller accused of a series of sex charges has now been set for December.
The High Court in Glasgow has accepted a notice lodged in relation of charges against Kim Avis or Gordon for the hearing to be continued.
Kim Avis, also known as Gordon, faces a total of 25 charges.
They include the 56-year-old being accused of raping three women and attempting to rape one of them when she was 12.
Avis was originally due to appear for a High Court hearing in March, but cases were delayed because of the coronovirus pandemic.
A spokeswoman for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said that, following a section 75 notice, the High Court accepted the notice and continued the preliminary hearing which has now been “assigned for 10 December at Glasgow High Court”.
Avis is also accused of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl and faces breach of the peace and threatening and abusive behaviour charges.
The allegations cover a period between January 1997 and March last year and mainly relate to alleged incidents in the Inverness area.
Last November, when Avis appeared at the High Court in Glasgow following his arrest, his counsel, advocate Lorenzo Alonzi, lodged not guilty pleas on his behalf.
No application for bail was made at the time and he was remanded in custody.
