Erland Fraser appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court. Fraser, 49, of South Ronaldsay, made no plea, was fully committed and remanded in custody. The charge comes after police were called to a property on Marengo Road in St Margaret’s Hope on June 19 following a report of a male with injuries. Officers confirmed the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been named locally as William Fraser.
