A Fraserburgh man has appeared in court charged with a series of offences following the alleged abduction of a woman on Sunday.
Ryan Borwick made no plea and was released on bail during a private hearing today at Peterhead Sheriff Court.
It came after Police Scotland confirmed it had received a report of a 45-year-old female being abducted in the Broadsea Road area of Fraserburgh on Sunday June 15.
Borwick, 25, is facing three charges:
1) Abduction and assault.
2) Assault.
3) Malicious mischief.
Police said alleged incident was ‘isolated’ and enquiries are ‘ongoing’
The accused, whose address was given as the town of Fraserburgh, is expected to return to the dock on an unspecified date in the future.
Earlier today, a police spokesperson described the alleged incident as “isolated” and added that officers’ enquiries were “ongoing”.
They said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a report of an abduction of a 45-year-old woman in the Broadsea Road area of Fraserburgh on Sunday 15 June 2025.
