Bonfire night 2015: Where can you see fireworks near you?

Thousands of people are gearing up for a night of spectacular light shows as the country marks Guy Fawkes night on November 5.

Here’s a handy list of the biggest firework displays happening in your area this week to help your bonfire celebrations go with a bang.

 

Aberdeen

More than 12,000 revellers are expected at Aberdeen beach to watch the Granite City’s annual display  which this year has a heroes and villains theme.

The event, which is free, will kick off with fire jugglers and a charity fire walk from 6.30pm, followed by a 20-minute display set to music from 7.30pm.

Aberdeen City Council has organised park and ride buses which leave from the Bridge of Don, Calder Park and Kingswells.

 

Aberdeenshire & Moray

Kemnay- Bogbeth Park, November 5 at 6pm.

Banchory- King George V Park, November 7 from 6.30pm

Ellon- Gordon Park from 5pm on November 7, with the first firework expected to soar into the sky at 7.30pm.

Ballater- Fireworks on November 7, from 7p.m in Monaltrie Park

Inverurie- Thainstone Mart from 5.30pm.

Maud-  the field off Victoria Road at the Station Road junction, Sunday November 8 at 6.30pm.

Peterhead- Bonfire at the Gadle Braes will be lit at 7pm on November 5.  There will also be a fireworks display.

Rosehearty- bonfire and fireworks event takes place from 6.30pm on November 5.

Elgin- Bonfire and fireworks display kicks off on Saturday November 7 at 6:30pm  in Cooper Park.

 

Highlands

Inverness- Fireworks display takes place from 7.30pm in Bught Park.

Ballachulish Quarry- celebrate with a special 10th Anniversary Bonfire & Fireworks Display on Saturday November 14 from 7pm.

Thurso- Fireworks display starts at 7pm on Saturday November 7 at Thurso Harbour and Esplanade.

Aviemore- firework display is at the Golf Club in Newtonmore on Saturday November 7 from 7pm.

Oban- Annual fireworks spectacular starts at 7:15pm, Location : Oban North Pier.
