Keep Scotland Beautiful has launched a focus group in Inverurie to encourage discussion around climate change.

The charity is calling for local people from in and around the north-east town to take part in a focus group on October 1.

It is aimed at people who “don’t normally think or talk that much about climate change.”

Participants will have the chance to share their opinions and in return for two hours of their time, everyone that takes part will be rewarded with £25 at the end of the event.

The focus group, organised by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful on behalf of the Scottish Government, is part of The Big Climate Conversation – identifying what changes people in Scotland want the Government to do to tackle the global climate emergency.

Alastair Seaman, climate change manager from Keep Scotland Beautiful said: “It is really important that everyone is part of the conversation about climate change.

“We are keen to hear from residents that don’t normally consider, think or talk that much about climate change.

“You don’t need to bring any experience or any knowledge to the table.

“We just want to talk to you and have a discussion about your priorities and hear your views.”

The event is taking place at The Acorn Centre, West Parish Church from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
