A £300,000 resurfacing project will begin on a Highland road next weekend.
Work will be carried out overnight on a section of the A887, west of Torgyle Bridge, from Sunday, October 23, for 10 nights.
The improvements will create a smoother and safer journey for motorists, and follow on from previous road widening works completed last month.
It will be carried out between 7pm and 7am between Sunday and Friday for two weeks.
The road will be closed, with a diversion via the A887, A82 and A87 in place during working hours.
Traffic management will be removed out with working hours, however a 30mph speed limit will be in place.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative, said: “These essential resurfacing improvements will upgrade the existing road surface ahead of poor winter weather, greatly improving the road safety and quality of this section of the A83.
“We’ve scheduled the works to take place out with the busy tourist season to limit the impact to motorists, and have planned the works to avoid working on Friday or Saturday nights.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
