A fisherman has been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after becoming unwell at sea.
The casualty was aboard a Danish-registered fishing vessel, approximately 100 miles north east of Aberdeen, when he became too ill to continue.
Shetland Coastguard received the call at 7am and dispatched Rescue Bond one to the scene.
The crewman was then taken by ambulance from the helipad to Accident and Emergency.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 9.10 today to attend the helipad based in Aberdeen.
“We dispatched one ambulance and transferred one male patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
