An overturned lorry trailer on the A9 near Spittal is currently causing delays for motorists as restrictions are in place in both directions.
A call was received by police at 2.34pm with fire crews from Thurso and Wick also attending.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two crews from Thurso and one from Wick were paged to deal with a diesel spill on the A9.
“An oil spill kit was used with the stop message being received at 4.03pm.”
The #A9 is currently closed at Spittal in #Caithness due to an RTC involving an HGV. A diversion will be in place and further info will follow. Please use an alternative route and avoid the area at present.
