The incident happened at around 12.10pm today just outside the village of Lairg. Motorists can expect delays as the road remains shut in both directions until further notice. Police and ambulance crews are on site. We can advise that the A836 is currently closed in both directions around one mile north of Lairg due to a road traffic collision. Emergency services are currently on the scene. Please be aware and use an alternative route.
