Hundreds of people descend on the remote island to enjoy the festival.

Tiree Music Festival has enjoyed its fastest-ever ticket sales – with 800 early bird tickets for the 11th event selling out in 40 minutes.

All glamping tickets were snapped up in just 10 minutes.

Festival goers from all over the world, including the USA, Germany, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates, jumped at the chance to experience the festival on Tiree taking place on July 10-12 next year.

The location is known for the picture-perfect white sands, sunshine, fantastic line-up of folk, trad and pop acts, family activites and spotless campsites.

Unprecedented levels of online traffic from the UK, Europe, North America and Asia had organisers working hard to keep the website functioning for the thousands looking at tickets.

Last year’s 2,100-capacity event was the tenth consecutive sell-out, with TMF 2020’s remaining tickets expected to be snapped up when they go on sale at noon on Sunday.

Festival director Stewart MacLennan added: “TMF2020 is set to be another brilliant festival and we’re always blown away by the enthusiasm and dedication of our visitors who snap up tickets every year to join the celebrations.

“This year, we are making all of our tickets available earlier than ever before to help meet the demand and allow returning and new visitors to plan their island adventure to Tiree next summer.”
