One person has this evening been cut free from a vehicle following a one-vehicle crash on Lewis.
The incident, which took place at Achmore, was reported to the fire service at 4.59pm with two appliances sent from Stornoway.
Hydraulic cutting gear was in use with the casualty extracted before being taken to the Western Isles Hospital.
The fire crews echoed a stop message to control at 5.45pm.
A police spokesman said the male driver was treated at the scene and taken to hospital to be checked over for neck and back pains.
